i really could care less about elections. no matter who people choose they always wind up complaining about them anyways. i hope people know who they are voting for before they vote for them. but since both these people have done stuff like this before we willknow how good they are. people should research them and find out which one they like before blindly voting.
In the current race of north carolina is coming up into the finish. Republican Senator Richard Burr still holds a double-digit lead over challenger Elaine Marshall in his bid for reelection in North Carolina. in the percentage of the state gives Burr 52%, Marshall 38%, other candidate 2%, and undecided 8%. well we know who going to win.

The North Carolina Senate candidates criticism in their second televised debate Wednesday, sparring on the Wall Street bailout, health care and the financing of elections. Elaine Marshall gave more aggresion towards the Republican senate Richard Burr and said he was a tool for Washington. Marshall and Michael Beitler, the Libertarian candidate, went after Burr for his 2008 vote to bail out the Wall Street banks during the financial crisis.
Beitler called it "cronyism" and a perfect example of big business and big government.

The North Carolina's Republican senator (Richard Burr). Has the lead of all the Democratic candidates running for his job, benefiting from the fact that the Democrats have yet to choose a candidate from a field of unknowns, according to a Public Policy Polling survey conducted March 12-15. Burr leads all the Democrats by margins ranging from 16 to 20 points.

New York Sued
Soldiers positioned overseas vote with the use of absentee ballots. The deadline to send these ballots out to the soldiers was September 18 because they must be sent 45 days before the elections. Since New York had its primary elections just four days before this date, they were allowed to send them by October 1. However, they still did not send them, and now, the Justice Department is suing the state of New York. I think that not sending a voting ballots to american soldiers overseas is very unfair because they are fighting for the country and deserve a say in the government, and it was right of the Justice Department to sue New York.

Early voting is going on starting in November. Running for republican senate is richard burr and the democratic candidate is still unknown. so far, Burr is ahead in recently taken polls and his votes are being elected by the majority of citizens since the democrats do not have a representative yet. Elaine Marshall has 38% of the people's vote to stay in position and to be reelected. 8% of the votes are still undecided.
DEOMCRATIC elaine marshell is running against sen.richard burr.Burr and Marshall were both quick to name jobs and the economy as the critical issues facing the country and the ones they hear about most when traveling the state. they both had there disagreement about stuff.burr and marshall are both running against washington.

ReplyDeleteMy article is about Rasmussen Shows Burr being ahead in the senate race. I think that Burr will win the election hands down. He's ahead by double digits, so it will take alot for Elaine Marshall to cath up to him. I doubt Marshall will make it though.

ReplyDeleteThis article is about future space travel.I think its very intresting because space is intresting. If people actully got to go to space it would be amazing.Who wouldnt want to go to space. The price for a seat is super expensive and only rich people would be able to afford it.

Today i read about a North Carolina Senate Debate. Both Burr and Marshall were running against Washington. Marshall and Burr clearly disagreed with each other on every from health care to off shore drilling. With all this debating and disagreeing there was sure tension in the atmosphere. I really don't care about elections that much. I feel like it's more of a popularity contest to see who's right or has better ideas. I feel like no matter who is elected they will not keep there word to do what they say they will.

ReplyDeleteLatino voters Could Help swing Mid-term Elections
http;//www.npr.org/templates/transcript/transcript.php?story=130377706
it's all about Latino people who's living in United State America.those people are tried to vote, but most younger people were still don't care about voting and the way they live.
I think this is pretty good for a person who's living in United State, and can voting for election.but that's not really good for younger people who's still confusing about voting and doesn't care about anything.that is really sad for them that they cant see..

I agree with Savannah. I don't particilarly care for elections because it is true, people will always find something to complain about. Although I do understand how the higher posotions of power can be a messy situation to step into. There are a lot of responsibilities and obligations, and hopefully they're doing the best they can, to the best of their abilities.
I read an article about 2 candidates who is still in a race of winning as a california senate. according to the article "conducted Oct. 13 gave Boxer a bare 49 percent to 46 percent lead over Fiorina with 2 percent preferring some other candidate and 3 percent undecided. The margin of error is 4 points. The two have been within 5 points of each other in Rasmussen's last six matchups dating back to early August." and boxer is seen favorably by 46 percent of voters, with 4 percent not sure. Fiorina is seen favorably by 49 percent and unfavorably by 45 percent, with 5 percent not sure. In my opinion, i dont really care about the politics decision because they're all the same, altough they said "theyre gonna say, theyre going to make things better" Sure they do. i dont think so.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/10/14/legalized-marijuana-in-california-now-a-close-call/
ReplyDeleteThis article explains the current initiative to legalise marijuana in California. I belive that the use of medical marijuana should definitely be legal, as it would be helping to make people healthy. But there is one part of Proposition 19 that concerns me. It states that anybody over 21 would be free to grow their own marijuana for personal use.
Still, I think that people will always be using marijuana whether it is legal or not. Perhaps making it legal wouldbe less problematic for a lot of people, but I'm still not sure where I stand on the issue.

ReplyDeleteBlake Lewis:
The race for the seat in the senate is close this year, however it appears that Richard Burr is the top competitor. It seems that the returning senator is popular due to his party as a republican. This could possibly be because of the fact that Obama, a democrat, was considered kind of a dissapointment based on all of the promises he made, and did not keep.

ReplyDeletetoday i read about
Burr's campaign said Friday he had $2.9 million available at the end of September, down from $6.2 million at the end of June. Marshall said she had more than $800,000 in cash to start October, up from less than $200,000 three months before. Her campaign said she raised $1.2 million in the quarter. So thats waht i read about.

ReplyDeleteI don't really pay too much attention on these sorts of political talks mostly because i don't understand. Although my thoughts about this can make any difference i do find it interesting that the person running for california senate is debating weather or not to make illegal drugs legal...interesting because knowing someone could even consider that is silly but can make since because it isn't as bad as making cigarette's legal.
I also learned about Burr and Marshall running for washington and their views on the health care plan.
Honestly, i don't really care about politics at all but if it effects my health they need to stop fighting for a popularity contest and just fix our problems.

after the midtrem elections, the GOP planed to block the obama agenda. they saw the election as suport for they're campaign. they planed to over turn the obama healthcare plan and to push for contiuned taxcuts. they feel they have american people on their side. they think they can carie this momentum and win the 2012 elections.

The grandson of Myanmar's junta chief wanted the military regime to make a one billion dollar bid to buy football giants Manchester United, US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks revealed.
Unsure how the move would be received, Senior General Than Shwe -- said to be a keen fan of the Red Devils -- instead set up a national football league, reported the cable from Yangon to Washington dated June 2009.
why would he wast one billion to buy 1 soccer team. he could of use it to help his own country.
