Just recently in Texas, a bunch of Turkey was recalled. Various types of turkey made on august 4, as they found out, may cause listeriosis. Although healthy people rarely contract it, it can cause a range of symptoms on the person who get it. It's a good thing Texas recalled the turkey products, or someone may have gotten very sick. Things like this happen, and I agree with the way Texas handled this. There was no hiding anything and they just told everyone not to use the infected turkey brands and types. Hopefully, something like this won't happen again for a long time.

This article is about this drink called a 4 loco! It is a caffeinated alcoholic drink. The FDA calls it unsafe! It makes people go crazy and stay awake longer. It has a fruity taste which makes people want to drink more of them and faster. A 23.5-ounce can of Four Loko contains either 6 or 12 percent alcohol by volume, depending on state regulations. They are also carbonated. This is dangerous for all ages. It is a way to get away with drinking without looking like it!

This is tragic!! Donald Trump is not fit for presidency. Why? Because first of all he's had financial issues in the past so he's not capable of running our country. He doesn't have much political experience. Also he's making money by inheriting money, so his wealth doesn't show a sign of his success. There are so many mistakes in the world, next thing you know Britany Spears is going to be running for vice. TRAGIC!!!

  7. This article is about a chinese woman who got sentenced in labor for a year because of retweeting. She basically mocked Chinese protesters who smashed Japanese products during a recent demonstration by disturbing social stabilty. Her name is Cheng Jianping, under the username wangyi09, added a few words to a message written by her fiance, before resending it on Twitter. She said : "This is ridiculous and a typical case of censorship jail," Cheng's lawyer Lan Zhixue said. "People should not be put in jail due to their sarcastic words." and i do agree, its an onine website, you're allowed to say what you want to say.

    http://money.cnn.com/2010/11/18/news/economy/unemployment_benefits_extension/index.htm?hpt=Sbin

This article is about the very current failure of a House bill that would have given the unemployed three more months to file for extended jobless benefits. Were it to have passed it would have saved four million people from falling off the rolls. In order for it to have passed it needed 275 votes, however it only managed a final vote of 258 to 154. I think this is unfair to all the currently unemployed people in America. For most of them it isn't their fault that they're unemployed, it just happened because of the recession.

    Kevin Hernandez

Today I watched a video that was about vandals damaging the home of the Senator R.C. Soles in Tabor City on Wednesday night. When the police arrived at Soles home they found that there was great damage done to the senator's home. Sole was apparently inside the his home when he heard glass break. The police report also said that he saw a black van pull up and saw two people get out. They broke a window with paint cans, flower pots and paint was splattered around the property. After watching this video it was scary hearing this happening to a senator, because i have never heard of people damaging a senator's home or property. I don't know what I would have done if people broke into my house and vandalized everything.

The article I choose is about President Obama's efforts to convince republicans in the senate to support his Nuclear Weapon Pact with Russia. The United States currently has about 9,600 nuclear warheads of the ten main types, but it is believed (according to information from Cold War statistics that the US could have upwards of 32,000. Russia has an estimated 29,500. Todays nuclear warheads are estimated to be 100 times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima. Assuming both Us and Russia entered a nuclear war, and they launched all their systems, that is 6,150,000 times the destruction at Hiroshima. Obviously this would not be a good day to be living on planet Earth. This is why foreign relations are so important, and I believe that Obama is certainly taking initiative with this move.

"MY NAME IS KARINA AND I SUPPORT THE DREAM ACT!!! :D"

Today i read and saw videos about the DREAM ACT. i think every illegal immigrant youth has the right to become a legal residents. I know what is like to come at a young age to the United State and being an illegal immigrant. We all have the right to become what we dream. Thanks to Lations HARRY REID was re-elected in Nevada, who promised to bring the DREAM ACT to the floor after thanksgiving. This is what many Lations said: "We are tired of it. The hunger strike is similar to what we go through in our everyday lives — starving without a future." && all i have to say is im proud of OBAMA! i knew he would accept the DREAM ACT.

  12. http://healthland.time.com/2010/11/19/four-loko-lawsuit-did-caffeinated-alcohol-cause-death/
this article is about an alcoholic beverage cal Four Loko. It was banned almost week after a student had died because of the amount of alcohol in the Four Loko. When you have one a four loko, it is the equivalent of six beers. A student in Florida drank three four loko's and was reported dead because the alcohol got to his head and so he shot himself. I think it was really smart of the government to ban four loko because it is mixed with caffeine and alcohol...which is not good.

The article is about Happy Meal toys being banned in San Francisco. I understand that the reason they're doing this is because the toys advertises unhealthy food for children to buy, but I kinda think it's not that big of a deal. It's the parent's responsibility to choose what kids eat, not the government's.

The conservative president is under rising pressure from investors, the United States and fearful Mexicans to contain a conflict that has killed more than 31,000 people in the last four years. I think that the whole drug thing is getting out of hand. Too many people are getting killed for no reason. The Mexican Congress has used its newly acquired power not to push through modernizing reforms but rather to control and thwart the executive at every turn, said political analyst Denise Dresser. People say that the government has something to do with the cartels.

North Carolina's average percent of umemployment has dropped by .1% and is just now even with the average unemployment with the Nation at 9.6%. If you look at the chart on this web page you can see how sidnificantly higher NC's unemployment average is than the US for the past two years. Although during this time of ressesion, the number of unemployment has happily gone down and there has been a rise in employment. So things are getting better, but still have a long ways to go. 17. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/11/19/germany.suspicious.bag/index.html?hpt=T2

This is a article about a suspicious package found in an airport in Nambia, about to be sent on a flight to Germany. The package contained a device that was supposed to be an "explosive-simulating training device," and not dangerous at all. However, nobody was warned about the testing device. Nobody knows who planted the training device, and not even the owner of the company that made the device knows who this one was sold to, or who left it in the airport, but it is currently on investigation. To make matters worse, Germany recently raised the threat level after having found evidence of a possible terrorist attack planned for Germany later this month.

Though this situation is rather scary, I believe authorities are handling it well, and using their best efforts to keep their country safe and sound.

    Christmas parade

I read about the north carolina holiday parade. It is this Saturday at
nine-thity in the morning. There will be many floats in the streets of Raleigh. The parade will last about two
hours and be 1.4 miles long. I think that the parade is way too early in the holiday season.
