The new congress is now in session. The republicans now control the house of representatives. one new republican is Raul Labrador he is from Puerto Rico.
This person is anti-tax, anti-abortion and anti-amnesty for illegal inmigrants
*I think that he is a good candidate to go to either congress or the house because he got the qualities that most americans like and because he support inmigrants, also he is one of the few Latin Americans that are republicans.

The new congress is now in session the republicans now control the house of repersentatives. one new republucan is Tim Scott. He is frome South Carolina first black republican elected to congress from the deep south since reconstruction.
We think it is good that the first Black person is elected from the south and it is good for black people. If the black guys have been in power it builds trust and gives kids role models to look to. More freedom and equality.

The new congress is now in session the Republicans now control the house of Representatives. One new Republican is Raul Labrador. He is from Idaho. Despite his ethic background (he is Hispanic), he is against amnesty for undocumented immigrants. I think we should all have the same rights regardless of what part of the world we come from. People should be treated equally.

The new congress is now in session. The replican now control the house of representatives. One new republican is Kirti Noem. She from South Dakota. She's attractive, fashionable, feisty, a mother of three- and she hunts, too. Her nickmaned is Palin of the Plains. She raised more money than her incumbent opponent, including collecting more thatn twice as much from individual donors. We think she is smart and hard wroking. And she will be one of the powerful freshman members.

OOH MY GOODNESS.! This next election will be very intense. I highly doubt that anyone else will try too run against President Obama and Sarah Palin. Well in my eyes the President is Going to have to win back the hearts of the Democrates, because Palin has the Republicans eating out of the palms of her hands. And the Rebulicans already won the North Carolina in the 2010 elections. Even though NC is a democrate state anything is possible.

ReplyDeleteI read about how the Republicans are in charge and are changing the house rules. They are re-doing the bill-to-law process and switching it up by having each bill come with a "constitutional authority", because the republicans believe that the democrats have been too leanieant when paasing bills. By adding another component to the bill-to-law process it should ensure that only the best bills are passed. I'm not quite sure if I can agree with their new method, it seems like it would make the bill-to-law (overly used phrase :]) process more outdrawn and complicated than it already is! I think they should just stick to what they know best and keep on keeping on.

ReplyDeleteI read about the new republican party taken over the chambers of the white house but they arent prepared in some cases. 1st cutting 100 billion in the first year that allowed minorty party to offer admendments on bills and 2nd the health care plan. Theses are major things that need to be met as a country and we need everyones help. so the republicans cant come in the house not having a solid plan. so they need to get it together. =)

ReplyDeleteHO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam
The United States lodged an official protest with the Vietnamese government on Thursday over what news reports called a police assault of an American diplomat who monitors human rights issues as he was trying to visit a dissident priest.
Michael W. Michalak, the United States ambassador to Vietnam, described the attack on the diplomat, Christian Marchant, as “an incident of grave concern.”

House to condemn "horrific attack" in Arizona
ReplyDeleteI read this article that talked about several members of the house of representatives that were killed and one that was severely injured. Speaker of the house John Boehner struggled to hold back tears as he gave a speech in honor of those members that died during this tragic incident. Gabrielle Gifford a third term democrat from tuscan is the one survivor although he was hospitalized from a shot to the head. I think that this is sad, because in the process of hurting member of the house they even wounded a 9 year old .
